Hamilton Rise gives it’s name to the first colonist sighting of the Yass Plains by Hamilton Hume in 1821 and is situated on the doorstep of Yass, NSW. It is located on both sides of Yass Valley Way as you enter the Township of Yass from Canberra - Fundamentally it is the new gateway into the Township from Canberra to South (approx. 50mins to CBD or 36mins to Hall) and from Goulburn (1 hour) and Sydney (3hours to CBD) to the North East.
HAMILTON RISE WILL BE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK
The first stage of the Barton Highway duplication is now complete! This vital piece of infrastructure links Canberra to Yass and will drastically reduce commute times and provide safer, more consistent and reliable travel for road users and the local community. The Federal and NSW Governments have each invested $150 million and $50million respectively into the project with Stage 2 currently in planning. - Learn More
